

Vietnamese Foodies is a multi-branch restaurant brand that required a modern mobile application to enhance the dine-in experience and streamline restaurant operations. The goal of the app was to reduce waiting times, improve order accuracy, and give customers full control over their dining journey, from menu browsing to payment.
The Metagate designed and developed a mobile application that connects directly with Vietnamese Foodies’ point-of-sale system, allowing real-time order handling across all branches while delivering a smooth and intuitive experience for diners.

The main challenge was creating a mobile application that seamlessly integrates with an existing POS system while supporting multiple restaurant branches and live table-based ordering. Each table needed to be uniquely identified so that orders placed through the app are instantly linked to the correct location and table without staff intervention.
Another key challenge was managing shared dining scenarios. Multiple customers sitting at the same table may place separate orders, pay at different times, or split the bill in various ways. The app needed to support individual payments, full-table payments, and split billing without causing confusion or delays at checkout.
Additionally, the solution had to maintain speed and reliability in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Orders needed to be transmitted instantly to the kitchen, reflected accurately on staff systems, and updated in real time as items were prepared and served.
The Metagate developed a restaurant-focused mobile application designed specifically for dine-in ordering and payment. Users can sign up or log in, then scan a QR code at their table to instantly access the digital menu for that specific branch. Once the table is opened, customers can browse the menu, select items, and place orders directly from their phones.
All orders are sent in real time to the restaurant’s POS system via Sapaad, allowing the kitchen team to receive, prepare, and track orders without manual input. This direct integration ensures accuracy, reduces human error, and speeds up service across all branches.
The app supports flexible payment options, enabling users to either pay for the entire table or settle only their own orders. Split payments are handled smoothly, allowing multiple diners at the same table to pay independently. An optional tipping feature is included at checkout, giving customers the ability to add tips digitally.
The multi-branch architecture ensures that menus, pricing, and availability are automatically adjusted based on the scanned location. The interface is designed to be intuitive and fast, minimizing friction during ordering and payment while keeping the dining experience social and uninterrupted.
