

Blue is a digital banking platform operating in Lebanon, designed to simplify everyday financial transactions for individuals, agents, and merchants. The platform provides users with a secure mobile application to manage multi-currency accounts, transfer money, pay invoices, and perform currency exchanges, all while remaining fully integrated with a licensed Core Banking system.
The solution was built to modernize traditional banking interactions by offering a fast, accessible, and user-friendly digital experience, supported by a robust administrative system for operational control and compliance.

The primary challenge was building a digital banking solution that balances speed, usability, and regulatory requirements in a complex financial environment. Users needed the ability to manage multiple currencies, perform transfers, and handle cash-based operations through agents, all while ensuring accuracy and consistency with an external Core Banking system.
Another key challenge was supporting multiple operational roles within the platform. Administrators and staff required fine-grained control over approvals, permissions, and daily operations, while agents and merchants needed reliable tools to manage cash transactions and payments without delays or reconciliation issues.
The Metagate developed a comprehensive fintech platform centered around a mobile-first user experience and a powerful web-based administrative system. Each user is provided with separate accounts for USD, EUR, and LBP, allowing seamless transfers, invoice payments, and currency exchange using bank-provided exchange rates.
The platform integrates directly with the Core Banking system to execute and synchronize all financial transactions, ensuring data accuracy and financial integrity. An agent model was implemented to support cash-in and cash-out operations, enabling users to deposit or withdraw funds through authorized agents while tracking balances in real time.
For merchants, the system supports instant payments, allowing seamless checkout experiences for end users. A role-based permission system enables administrators to manage staff responsibilities efficiently, ensuring secure and controlled system operations.
